Overview

This article explains the reporting tools available in Shiftlab. These reports provide visibility into attendance activity, schedule performance, and detailed operational data that can be exported for deeper analysis.

When to Use This

Use these reports when:

  • You need insight into attendance behavior and compliance across stores.

  • You want to compare forecasted performance against actual results.

  • You require detailed data for audits, custom analysis, or third-party reporting tools.

  • You need downloadable files for attendance, compliance, scheduling, or forecasting.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Attendance Detail Report

  1. Select the Date Range (From / To).

  2. Select the Area.

  3. Select the District.

  4. Select the Store.

  5. (Optional) Select View Stores or View Employees to change the report focus.

  6. Select Run to display the results.

  7. (Optional) Select Download to export the report.

Schedule Performance Report

  1. Select the company metric to evaluate:

    • Traffic

    • Gross Profit

    • Boxes

  2. Select Run.

  3. View the updated graph showing weekly planned vs. actual performance for the selected Area and District.

Reporting Extracts

  1. Navigate to the Reporting Extracts section.

  2. Select the extract type you need. Options may include:

    • Scheduling data

    • Attendance activity

    • Compliance reporting

    • Forecasting details

    • PTO tracking

    • Break compliance

    • Automation usage

    • Shift changes

    • Coverage trends

  3. Download the extract to use for audits, operational analysis, or custom reporting.

Key Details & Definitions

  • Attendance Detail Report: Includes events such as late opens, early closes, and no-shows.

  • Schedule Performance Report: Compares forecasted workload to actual activity based on your selected metric.

  • Reporting Extracts: Structured data exports designed for analysis outside Shiftlab.

  • Company Metrics: The operational indicators used for scheduling and performance evaluation (Traffic, Gross Profit, Boxes).

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Report results look incomplete.
Verify selected filters such as Area, District, Store, and Date Range.

Download option is unavailable.
Confirm that the report has been run. Downloads appear only after results are generated.

Metrics do not match expected performance.
Check which metric was selected (Traffic, Gross Profit, or Boxes) and confirm that data feeds are up to date.

Extract file is not opening.
Ensure your spreadsheet or BI tool supports CSV or Excel formats used in extracts.
