Overview
Employees use shift swap tools to swap shifts with coworkers, drop shifts for others to claim, and accept open shifts assigned to their store. Employees can view all pending requests and cancel them before they are accepted.
When to Use This
Use shift swap tools when you need to:
Exchange one of your scheduled shifts with a coworker.
Drop a shift so another eligible coworker can claim it.
Claim an open shift created by your manager for additional coverage.
Review or cancel any pending swap or drop requests.
Respond to incoming swap requests from coworkers.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Swap a Shift
Open the Day View in the schedule.
Select the shift you want to change.
Select Swap.
Review the list of available coworker shifts.
Select one or multiple shifts using the toggle options.
Send the swap request.
View or cancel the pending swap from the Shift Swap Portal.
Watch for red X icons indicating coworkers who declined the swap.
Respond to a Shift Swap Request
Open the Shift Swap Portal.
Go to Shifts Available to Me.
Open the incoming swap request.
Review available swap options (you will not see options on days you already work).
Decline all options or select the shift you want to exchange.
Select Accept Swap.
Confirm your acceptance.
The system automatically updates both schedules.
Drop a Shift
Open the Day View.
Select Drop.
Confirm that you acknowledge responsibility for the shift until someone claims it.
The dropped shift appears in the Shift Swap Portal for coworkers who are not already scheduled that day.
Cancel the drop at any time from the Day View or Shift Swap Portal.
Claim an Open Shift
Open the Shift Swap Portal.
Look for Open Shifts that do not conflict with your current schedule.
Select an open shift.
Confirm acceptance.
The shift appears automatically on your schedule.
Monitor Pending Requests
Open the Shift Swap Portal, Day View, or Week View.
Review your Pending Swaps and Pending Drops.
Cancel any pending requests that you no longer want active.
Key Details & Definitions
Swap: Trading one of your shifts with a coworker’s shift.
Drop: Releasing one of your shifts for others to claim.
Open Shift: A shift created by managers that any eligible employee may accept.
Pending Request: Any swap or drop initiated but not yet accepted or declined.

You may already be scheduled that day, or your role may not be eligible to claim shifts.
Why was my pending request removed?
A manager may have canceled your swap or drop request.
