Accessing Shiftlab in RQ

This article explains how to access and use Shiftlab through the RQ point of sale system.

Note: This feature is only available for companies with an active RQ integration. If your organization does not use this integration, this article will not apply.

When To Use This

  • Log into RQ and need to clock in/out using the Shiftlab Timeclock

  • Want to view your schedule or manage shifts within RQ

  • Access Shiftlab through the embedded experience in RQ

Step By Step Instructions

How to Clock in through RQ Punch Clock Widget

  1. Log into RQ

    1. If you need assistance logging into RQ, please reach out to your Leadership team as Shiftlab Support cannot assist with RQ Access.

  2. On the RQ Home Screen, locate the widgets and find the Punch Clock.

    1. If your company allows Punch In/Out through RQ, you will see this punch clock widget available to you.

    2. If you do not see the widget, reach out to your RQ Client Manager or the Support Team.

  3. Add this widget to your home screen, open the Punch Clock widget.

  4. Select 'Start Shift'

  5. This will punch you in for your shift start.

  6. When you need to clock out for a break or end of shift, open the Punch Clock widget on the RQ Home Screen and select Clock Out.

    Note: You need to select the refresh arrow option on the widget in order to clock out.

How To Navigate Shiftlab in RQ (embedded experience)

Using & Navigating Shiftlab in RQ

  1. Open the Employees Console in RQ and select Shiftlab

  2. This will open the embedded version of Shiftlab right in RQ & will log you right in.

  3. You have all the visibility options to:

    1. View your schedule

    2. Change and update shifts

    3. View the navigation bar to see: Timeclock, PTO, Pulse, and Shift swap (depending what is all enabled for your company).

  4. You have the options:

    1. To punch in, start breaks, and clock out from this screen within RQ as well.

    2. Submit PTO

    3. View your Pulse to gain insights in your locations and schedules

  5. Manage and exchange Shift Swaps.

    ​Note: If you are opening Shiftlab on a desktop in a browser, this has all the same capabilities just embedded within RQ's point of sale software.​
