This article explains how District Managers can schedule their own store visit shifts in Shiftlab. District Managers can create shifts that are visible only to leadership roles, allowing private planning without notifying Store Managers or Sales Representatives.
When to Use This
Use this process when:
You plan to work onsite at a store on a specific day.
You need to document the time and purpose of your store visit.
You want to keep your visit visible only to District Managers and higher roles.
You need to add yourself to a store’s schedule for accurate tracking.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Navigate to the Store’s Schedule
Open Shiftlab.
Navigate to the Store Schedule for the location you plan to visit.
If you are not assigned to that store, add yourself to the store following your organization’s process.
2. Create Your Store Visit Shift
In the store’s schedule, find your name.
Select the Date of your planned visit to open the shift editor.
In the shift pop-up, enter:
Start and end times
Notes describing the purpose of your visit (optional but recommended)
3. Mark the Shift as Invisible
In the shift editor, select Invisible.
Select Save.
4. Confirm Visibility
The shift is visible only to District Managers and higher roles.
Store Managers and Sales Representatives cannot see invisible shifts.

Yes. Edit the shift and toggle off Invisible, then save.
