Viewing Your Timecard as an Employee

This article explains how employees can access and review their personal timecard in Shiftlab. The timecard provides detailed information about worked hours, scheduled hours, punches, and breaks.

When to Use This

  • To review hours worked during a specific period

  • To compare scheduled hours with actual punch data

  • To check break times and cumulative hours

  • To verify accuracy before payroll processing

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access the Timecard

  1. Log in to Shiftlab.

  2. Click the clock icon in the top-right corner to open the Timeclock sidebar.

  3. At the bottom of the sidebar, select Timecard.

2. Select a Date Range

  1. Use the date selector at the top of the screen to choose the range you want to view.

  2. Click Run to generate the timecard report for the selected period.

3. Review Your Timecard Details

Your timecard will display the following information:

  • Date and Store: Where you worked each day

  • Punch In/Out Times: Your clock-in and clock-out times

  • Breaks: Recorded break periods

  • Worked Hours / Scheduled Hours: Hours worked compared to scheduled hours

  • Stacked Hours: Cumulative total of hours worked within the selected date range

4. View Shift Details

  • Hover over the calendar icon on the far right-hand side of the timecard.

  • This will display a comparison of your scheduled shift versus actual punch data.

Key Details & Definitions

  • Timecard: A record of an employee’s clock-in/out times, breaks, and total hours worked.

  • Stacked Hours: The cumulative total of worked hours over a specific date range.

  • Punch Data: Actual recorded times when an employee clocks in or out.

  • Scheduled Hours: Hours an employee is scheduled to work according to the store schedule.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

I don’t see my timecard.
Ensure you are logged in and have access to the Timeclock sidebar. Contact your manager if the Timecard option is missing.

My hours do not match my schedule.
Check the punch data and compare with scheduled hours. Report discrepancies to your manager for correction.

Can I view timecards for past pay periods?
Yes. Use the date range selector to view any period for which data is available.

What does the stacked hours column represent?
It shows the cumulative total of all hours worked within the selected date range.
