Overview
This article explains how employees can submit time off requests in Shiftlab. Requests can be for full days, partial days, or multiple consecutive days and are sent to leadership for approval.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Access the Time Off Submission
Log in to Shiftlab.
Click the clock icon in the top-right corner to open the Timeclock sidebar.
At the bottom of the sidebar, select Time Off.
2. Fill Out Your Time Off Request
A pop-up window will appear for your request details.
Toggle All Day depending on the type of request:
Partial Day Request
Keep All Day OFF.
Select the date of your request.
Enter the start and end time you will be unavailable.
Choose your store.
Add any notes for your request.
Click Submit.
Full Day or Multiple Days Request
Turn All Day ON.
Select the start and end dates.
Choose your store.
Add any notes for your request.
Click Submit.
Once submitted, the request will be sent to leadership for approval.
Key Details & Definitions
Time Off Request: A formal request submitted for one or more days or hours away from work.
All Day Toggle: Determines whether the request is for an entire day(s) or a partial day.
Store Selection: The location where the time off will apply.
Notes Field: Optional details or context for the request, visible to leadership.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
I don’t see the Time Off option.
Ensure you are logged in and have access to the Timeclock sidebar. Contact your manager if the option is missing.
Can I submit multiple partial days in one request?
No. Each partial day must be submitted separately. Full-day requests can cover multiple consecutive days.
How do I know if my request was approved?
Check your Time Off history in Shiftlab or wait for a notification from your leadership team.
Can I edit a submitted request?
You can edit a request only if it has not yet been approved. Contact your manager to make changes after approval.
