Registering a Time Clock Device

This article explains how to register a Shiftlab Timeclock device. Device registration ensures that employees can clock in and out at the correct location while maintaining accurate time tracking.

When to Use This

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Shiftlab Login Screen

  1. On the device you want to authorize, open your preferred web browser.

  2. Navigate to your company’s Shiftlab login page.

2. Log In with Approver Credentials

  1. Use credentials that have device approval permissions to log in.

  2. Ensure the login is completed on the device you want to register.

3. Open the Timeclock Sidebar

  1. On the right-hand side of the screen, click the clock icon to open the Timeclock sidebar.

  2. The sidebar will display the Timeclock interface.

4. Select the Correct Location

  1. If you have access to multiple locations, use the location dropdown to select the correct store.

  2. Click the green arrow to approve the location for this device.

5. Complete Device Registration

  • Once the location is approved, the device is registered.

  • Employees can now clock in and out using the authorized Timeclock device.

Can one device be registered for multiple locations?
No. Each device must be registered to a single location at a time.

Employees cannot clock in after registration.
Confirm the device is approved and the location is correct. Ensure the Timeclock is open and ready for use.
